Review: I just got off the phone with the owner as I attempted to schedule a car wash with this business after reading through both the positive and negative reviews. Despite some warnings about the person answering the phone being a bit rude and defensive, I decided to give them a chance because the positive reviews seemed promising.Unfortunately, my experience echoed the negative feedback. When I called to inquire about a regular car wash, which I assumed would be their basic service, the person on the other end responded very rudely, asking, “What is a regular car wash? We don’t offer regular car washes.” He proceeded to ask if I had even looked at their website, and then rather brusquely listed the services they offer.When I tried to clarify what I was looking for, he dismissively stated that it doesn’t matter how much time a service typically takes because he can finish it quickly due to his expertise. While that might be impressive, the way he communicated this was far from professional.I noticed his tone becoming increasingly aggressive, and I felt uncomfortable. I tried to calm the situation by politely saying, “Sweetie, this is your business. I’m just trying to book a service, and you’re raising your voice at me. I feel a little attacked.” Instead of de-escalating, he became even more defensive, accusing me of judging him because he’s a man and I’m a woman—an accusation that was completely unfounded and inappropriate.I attempted to reason with him, but it was clear he wasn’t interested in listening. His defensiveness only escalated, making it impossible to have a constructive conversation. I ended the call by wishing him a good day and deciding not to give him my business.Afterward, I checked the business’s responses to other negative reviews, and sure enough, his replies were just as defensive and dismissive.
